SALARY: As determined by negotiated salary schedule
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is designed to help manage and facilitate multi-tiered systems of support in the area of social-emotional learning (SEL) and behavior. This position will oversee behavior plan design and implementation for students who need extra support and skill development. They will assist in the implementation of school-wide SEL. This position will also collaborate with other behavior specialists in the district, provide support through professional development, and by administering Functional Behavior Assessments at the elementary level in the district. Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Valid Oregon Teaching License.
  2. Experience in the development and implementation of behavior change programs.
  3. Ability to manage student behavior in a classroom environment.
  4. Strong computer skills: word processing, internet, email, and clerical skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to use good judgment when carrying out tasks.
  8. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and adults.
  9. Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desirable.
  10. Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to workplace disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs.)
