JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for the management and performance of the Central Regional Sales Team by achieving or exceeding the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goal. There will be a Player/Coach responsibility in the beginning to take responsibility of 3 large accounts. As the region grows, that responsibility will be transferred but at the decision of the RSD.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Build a winning, fun culture between Outside Sales and Inside Sales teams.
  2. Achieve, monitor and report regional sales and margin performance on a weekly/bi-weekly and monthly basis.
  3. Ensure and communicate a regional strategy to include existing customer retention and new customer acquisition.
  4. Develop and execute the region’s annual sales budget. Generate new strategic sales objectives for the region.
  5. Account responsibility for 3 Top Accounts (Player / Coach) initially, with a transition of the accounts as the region grows.
  6. Ensure highly proficient sales teams through Sales Management coaching and ensure proper training is provided to commercial organization.
  7. Efficient utilization and adherence to the company’s sales systems including adoption and usage of the CRM.
  8. Work with marketing to build a Bishop brand in the region including developing marketing campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation.
  9. Support and build relationships with Top 10 customers in the region.
  10. Communicate sales pipeline with Operations to ensure proper inventory and product availability.
  11. Build an effective professional network by participating in organizations and events that foster opportunities and build referral sources and future sales.
  12. Drive a 'One Bishop' culture throughout the organization to create growth opportunities across all lines of business including but not limited to Rentals, Synthetics, Service, Fabrication and Rigging.
  13. Aggregate and Prepare information to deliver regional sales pipeline reports for discussion and analysis with the Regional Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
  14. Evaluate organizational structure, customer alignment and new business growth to allocate sales resources effectively and efficiently.
  15. Implement and Review quarterly customer surveys with Regional Vice President.
  16. Be knowledgeable about, abide by, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  17. Responsibility and oversight for all sales and marketing within your region.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At least five years of experience managing a sales team and leadership experience.
  2. Must understand and utilize consultative selling.
  3. Experience working with, utilizing, and maintaining an active CRM.
  4. Experience with technical and industrial sales.
  5. Effective problem solving skills and experience with prospects and customers.
  6. Performance and results driven.
  7. A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
  8. An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
  9. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization across diverse cultures and possesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
  10. Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  11. Drug-free and acceptable background and DMV history.

ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR MANAGING REGIONAL SALES EFFORTS:

  1. Quarterly review of Top 20 regional customers to maintain customer concentration percentage to sales goal.
  2. Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and reporting objectives.
  3. Assist sales management and branch operations and ensure each territory is meeting sales goals.
  4. Ensure required quarterly customer service reviews for the region are completed.
  5. Review and evaluate sales team performance yearly.
  6. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual new customers and current customer sales quotas.
  7. Responsible for ensuring the SOP for Sales is followed including Lead Generation, use of CRM and participating in Regional SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning) meetings.
