The Lead, Flow Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing the following areas:
  • Brief/Debrief Culture Own it- Its not going away
  • You must be legally, morally and Ethically Correct
  • All of you have my trust right now - but if you break it
  • Be a change agent/ If its broke- lets fix it (But if you don’t, I’m going to hold you accountable)
  • Stellar Interpersonal Skills to liaise with team members in department and others
  • Leaders Lead and inspire/ managers do what your leader says to do
  • Coach, motivate and mentor team members to excel occupationally
  • Motivate members of your team to harness their potential and work harder for the execution of department projects
  • Scheduling manufacturing jobs to be produced in a timely and efficient manner (Don’t stretch jobs out)
  • Maintenance scheduling and record keeping for all machines (Continuity/Maintenance logs)
  • Material receiving, Material inventory, Tools organization
  • Production quality & parts tracking
  • Direct Communications with Manufacturing Manager, periodic communication with Sales
  • In addition, as a leader you will be required to fill in as needed for front line production in the shop
  • Operation of specialty machines to produce custom parts within the customer's desired specifications
  • Diagnose problems and make necessary adjustments without having to be told
  • Perform and lead the performing of preventive maintenance functions to drive machine uptime
  • Supervise, Coordinate and execute material handling to be processed Record information such as number of work pieces processed, tested, machine readings and dates and times of product production
  • Coordinating operations and activities within or between shifts and other functional areas
  • Interpreting engineering specifications, prints, and job orders to workers and assigning jobs between areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by Manufacturing Manager
  • Know how to Operate or general operation of assigned equipment
  • Fully buy in and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Take action with quality problems so the Flow Department minimizes waste or reworking production lines
  • Know when to use and where to find GP&C Operating Systems
  • Enforce Employee compliance with Maintaining work area for safe operation and cleanliness
  • Enforce Compliance for GP&C employees with all safety rules
  • Know how to Record and report production data
  • Know how to Analyze data and production reports
  • Supervise or perform Set up and change over equipment
