What you will do

The Digitalization Manager will lead all activities associated with Manufacturing Engineering and Factory Digitalization/Automation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing team of 5 engineers/maintenance/IT personnel with varying levels of experience. This role is expected to develop the team to implement strategic Digitalization and Automation capital expenditure initiatives, as well as support the day-to-day manufacturing process from a manufacturing engineering perspective. This role also will play a key part in designing and setting up the manufacturing processes for a new factory expansion project.

Responsibilities

  1. Implementation of Digitalization and Automation capital expenditures for the factory, while achieving calculated “pay-back” periods and saving commitments. Lead and drive technical innovations in manufacturing processes and methodologies.
  2. Leverage internal and external resources to execute the projects effectively.
  3. Communicate project status and participate in preparing and presenting business cases, functional plans, and objectives.
  4. Lead the manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and IT team including hiring, mentoring, and skills development.
  5. Help design and set up the new factory expansion project to optimize factory flow and space utilization.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  2. 5-7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, preferably 5 years in a related supervisory/managerial role.
  3. 1-2 years of experience in digitalization and automation-related projects preferred.
  4. Ability to calculate cost savings, pay-back period, etc., to justify capital expenditure.
  5. Strong understanding of technologies and processes supporting Manufacturing operations.
  6. Excellent planning, delegation, and time management (prioritization) skills required.
  7. Strong team player and familiar with working in large matrix organizations.
  8. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities that come from a dynamic manufacturing process.
