Project Engineer

Title: Project Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Direct Hire

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in project engineering. If your experience includes electrical or gas product design and certification - this is a plus.
2. Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
3. The candidate must have hands-on electrical experience.
4. The candidate should have some experience with designing and testing products. Does not necessarily have to be HVAC related, but would be preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Design new products in accordance with product proposals under the direction of the Chief Engineer.
2. Redesign and modify existing products as directed by the Product Planning Committee. This includes hands-on work in the Engineering lab to confirm findings.
3. Create drawings of new products and edit existing drawings using Solid Works.
4. Create/modify supporting documentation of products such as installation manuals, labels, brochures, and various instructions.
5. Ensure electrical wiring and controls meet safety requirements.
6. Facilitate the construction and testing of prototypes.
7. Ensure that all Engineering tests are documented and recorded in accordance with the Engineering lab manual.
8. Ensure that all products comply with applicable construction, design, and safety standards.
9. Prepare agency submittal information of all new equipment and alternate construction to existing products.
