Dev Technology Group is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect who is local to the Chicago and Washington D.C. areas to support our federal client's mission to develop new tools and technologies, make enhancements, and provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for existing systems. Dev Technology Group works in an agile environment and seeks team members who have a strong desire to develop technically and foster collaboration.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will be the major resource in a team effort to convert existing applications from their present technical environment into an AWS Cloud environment. There are a total of 4-5 major applications over the course of the project.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Must have 7 years of technical field experience combined with a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the AWS environment including the following:
    • Source code repositories such as Git/GitLab/GitHub (AWS code commit), TFS.
    • Working with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines in teams embracing DevOps principles
    • Docker container/Kubernetes
    • Linux/Windows-based infrastructure environment
    • Cloud application development experience in designing, coding, testing, and debugging
  • Hands-on experience in any of the following areas:
    • Cloudformation
    • EC2
    • Application Load Balancers (ALB) & Network Load Balancers (NLB)
    • VPC and AWS network design
    • Cloudtail & CloudWatch
    • GuardDuty
    • Extra Credit - Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Container Service, Fargate, and Elastic Container Registry, container security
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities and commitment to cross-functional alignment and communication
  • A passion for solving complex software challenges, and enjoys working alongside fellow team members to make that happen
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • .Net technologies (.Net Core )
  • Defining cloud application architecture to support client goals
  • Related AWS certifications
