Events Lead, North AmericaAs Philips’ Events Lead for the North American Region, you will be responsible for coordinating events activity in North America & Canada to deliver world class marketing experience, aligned to the business strategy as part of the Integrated customer decision journey. All while delivering robust ROMI, driving full pre-during-post activity at a strategic level and in complex, multi-cultural environment, globally. You will work closely with the local Heads of Marketing (region and businesses) as well as direct the Event Managers and Event specialists in your region.Your role:Transform the portfolio into an optimal combination of experience marketing activities (such as tradeshows and proprietary events), strategize and execute the delivery of world class customer experience on time and on budget while being aligned with strategy as defined by Head of Global Events and in cooperation with your Regional Marketing Teams.Align global strategy with local objectives and targets and apply a broad marketing view to support business and marketing objectives to deliver impact and drive business growth.Drive innovative experiences while ensuring consistency with the Philips strategy and brand.Develop, build and drive strong relationships with Stakeholders inside and outside Philips and negotiate best value for money consistent with the Philips strategy and Brand.Manage preferred agency/vendor relationships and comply to audit requirements.Ensure measurement is put in place for clear KPI attainment (qualitative and quantitative) for all types of events to demonstrate CoE effectiveness with consistent reporting.Utilize available resources for your region, engaging Head of Global Events to draw on Strategic resources and will be expected to travel around 25%.You're the right fit if:You’ve acquired 8 + years of experience managing large events and processes across a complex organization; experience in Healthcare or Technology B2B, B2G events strongly preferred; and event vendor/agency management experience required.Your skills include project management and organization skills with the ability to lead internal and external resources; developing plans to measure and evaluate event success; managing a large (remote) team; excellent people management skills and managing a large event portfolio.You have a Master’s Degree or equivalent professional qualifications and/or experience.You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.You’re an expert level communicator with the ability to interact with and influence stakeholders, including C-level​; possess strong acumen in agency management and collaboration; Strategic thinking skills and know how to optimize processes and delivers results.You thrive under pressure and excel in managing ambiguity – staying focused to deliver results in a faced environment where priorities may shift, and pivoting within strategy may be expected.You enjoy problem solving and can adapt quickly and can travel as needed to meetings and events about 25% of the time.How we work togetherWe believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
