Agronomy Sales Lead

LOCATION: Open to this position being based anywhere within our trade territory.

Primary Objectives of Position:

• Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals, budgeting.
• Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs.
• Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Directly supervises sales employees in Agronomy.
• Assigns territory to sales representatives.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist employees with promoting sales.
• Represents company at trade association meetings.
• Meets with key clients, assisting agronomy advisors with maintaining customer relationships.
• Demonstrates the following competencies: analytical, design, problem-solving, project management, technical and interpersonal skills, customer service, written and oral communications, teamwork, visionary leadership, delegation, and dependability.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in ag-related field preferred, or equivalent related work experience.
• 5 years of sales experience with prior supervision of staff.
• Proven track record of success while implementing a sales strategy from beginning to end.
• Must have a clean driving record and promote a safe working environment.
