CBS2 Television / KCAL 9 Television, a TV station duopoly in Southern California, is looking for a Facilities Manager (Fulltime). The position requires diverse facilities experience and is responsible for overall maintenance at the Broadcast Center. The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinate the general maintenance aspects of the 212,000 square foot facility interior and immediate exterior spaces.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance mentorship, support, and upkeep of the KCBS/KCAL Studio City Broadcast Center.
- Coordinate with vendors and trades to complete repairs and projects on time and within budget.
- Oversight of staff in maintenance, facilities, and mailroom services.
- Must have deep knowledge of Federal/State/Local regulations and codes and maintain strict building compliance with pertinent laws and codes.
- Lead all aspects of renovation projects, and coordinate safety inspections.
- Lead all aspects of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and Fire Safety regulations.
- Provide assistance for Broadcast Engineering, Facilities Operations, and Mailroom-related issues and projects.
- Assist Finance team in forecasting department spending and managing vendor payments.
- Work alongside Radford Studios security for different tasks, including building access and employee parking.
- Manage space planning and office moves alongside Paramount Facilities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of facilities management experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Engineering knowledge or certification in related fields of expertise is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team Player
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 135,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
