The Sr. Manufaturing Test Engineer is responsible for the development, validation, and maintenance of automated and manual test processes and equipment that support Solta medical device manufacturing and its contract manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
- Leads in all aspects of production test development including: planning, test specification, test procedure, test software development, fixture and tool development, verification and validation execution, and test implementation
- Leads in the definition, development, and implementation of board, module, and system level tests at Solta and suppliers
- Coordinates with R&D on New Product Introduction manufacturing test development to drive Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Identifies and executes opportunities to optimize test solutions for the manufacture of electromechanical assemblies and products.
- Documents, validates and maintains test fixtures and test systems for Production, Service, and Subcontractors
- Creates, implements, and monitors key performance indicators and metrics
- Performs data analysis and trending on production test processes to drive improvement
- Leads root-cause failure analysis
- Works with the quality team and contract manufacturers to identify and eliminate sources of defects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing test engineering role
- Experience designing and implementing test systems including development of custom PCBAs and test fixtures in a manufacturing context
- Experience writing scripts or programs for manual and automated tests
- Experience analyzing and interpreting circuit diagrams/schematics and troubleshooting electrical circuits
- Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.)
- Experience in medical device manufacturing a plus
- Working knowledge of medical device FDA QSR's, ISO13485 and IEC-60601 requirements is a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective communication and documentation skills
As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay for this role is 85K - 130K per year.
