SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing basic front and back office duties.
REQUIREMENTS
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Perform support functions as needed. This may include but is not limited to scheduling patients' blood transfusions, entering patient data into
registration system, greeting patients, escorting patients to exam room, assisting patients and/or families in completing appropriate paperwork.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and reconcile daily cash report
• Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications.
• Administer and assist with minor procedures and injections, bone marrow, blood draw, as needed.
• Take and document vital signs. This may include, but is not limited to patient's height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood
pressure manually but not limited to use of device.
• Prepare specimens for transportation to laboratory.
• Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.
• Assist with inventory organization and stocking of exam rooms and labs.
• Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained while performing job responsibilities including but not
limited to, financial and client information.
• Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years medical office experience
• Medical Assistant experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Body Positions: Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
• Body Movements: Arm and hand dexterity.
• Body Senses: Must have command of close and distant sight, color perception and hearing.
• Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 25-pounds.
