Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Director to lead our IT infrastructure, networking, telephony and cloud initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both on-premises and cloud environments, networking, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of implementing scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure and cloud strategy aligned with company goals.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies to ensure our infrastructure remains competitive and efficient.
  2. Infrastructure Management
    • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
    • Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance and reliability.
    • Manage data centers, networking, storage, and virtualization environments.
  3. Cloud Operations
    • Lead cloud migration projects and optimize cloud resource utilization.
    • Implement best practices for cloud governance, cost management, and security compliance.
    • Cloud backups and Disaster Recovery will also be key responsibilities.
    • Support M&A integration through cloud and network technologies.
  4. SaaS, Tools and Third Parties
    • Oversee third party solutions related to voice and user productivity including M365, Vonage, Adobe, etc. and Identity Management.
    • Own third party solutions such as Microsoft Intune, monitoring solutions, deployment, Password Account Management, etc.
  5. Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and cloud specialists.
    • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  6. Security and Compliance
    • Ensure all infrastructure complies with security standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate risks.
  7. Budget and Vendor Management
    • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget.
    • Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers inclusive of Microsoft, Cisco and other enterprise licensing agreements.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with software development, operations, and business units to support organizational initiatives.
    • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  1. Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  2. Experience
    • Minimum of 10 years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
    • Extensive experience with cloud platforms and specifically with Azure.
    • Proven success in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
  3. Technical Skills
    • Deep understanding of network architecture, server systems, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
    • Proficiency with infrastructure automation frameworks desired.
    • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations.
  4. Soft Skills
    • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Certifications

  • Relevant certifications such Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Cisco Certified Network Professional are highly desirable.
