Job Summary

FSI is looking to hire an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager.The Operations and Maintenance Manager provides management and technical support. Must beavailableduring normal working hours (currently Monday-Friday, 0730 to 1630), and during non-duty hours for emergencies. The O&M Manager coordinates the installation, maintenance and repair work in a healthcare setting. Manages a team of workers, regularly inspects work and executes work as necessary, maintain equipment and assign workers to various projects. Duties include tracking expenses, reporting progress and assigning schedules. Oversee all installations and repair work; and are responsible for the general upkeep and operations of the company's contractual facilities.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise a diversified work force responsible for 24-hour (24/7/365) operations, maintenance, and repair of medical facility systems.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Resolve conflicts, identified deficiencies, and issues following reporting and corrective action requirements.
  • Hires, fires, and disciplines project employees.
  • Assess employee incentive awards.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly trained and licensed, if required, prior to their appointment to a position or prior to operating equipment associated with a position.
  • Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
  • Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance work review.
  • Coordinate and assist in scheduling maintenance activities that impact hospital operations.
  • Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
  • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to the safety policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); bachelor'sdegree; two-years of experience as a maintenance manager; or two-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CHFM Certifiedpreferred.
  • Experience managing a unionized workforce preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of engineering and mechanical concepts.
  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and emergency power systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain a NAC/LAC clearance after hire.
  • A valid Driver's License, insurable driving record.
