FUNCTION: IT

LOCATION: Cary, North Carolina, USA

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:


  • Guide the organization’s IT infrastructure strategy while ensuring the security and integrity of its information assets.
  • Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure, as well as leading the organization’s cybersecurity efforts.



YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:



IT Infrastructure Leadership:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and business objectives.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to maximize the value and efficiency of infrastructure investments.


CISO Responsibilities:

  • Security Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy, including policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard the organization’s digital assets.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, identifying and mitigating potential threats to the organization’s information systems.
  • Security Implementation: Design and deploy security solutions to protect against data breaches, cyber-attacks, and other security incidents.
  • Incident Response: Oversee the incident response process, ensuring timely detection, analysis, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with relevant security standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Security Awareness: Collaborate with other departments to promote security awareness and training, ensuring that all employees understand their role in maintaining cybersecurity.


Strategic Planning and Alignment:

  • Business Alignment: Ensure that IT infrastructure and security initiatives are aligned with the organization's business strategy, driving long-term growth and innovation.
  • Technology Roadmap: Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on emerging technologies, trends, and their potential impact on the organization.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the IT infrastructure and security budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with other departments to understand their technology needs and deliver solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.



ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?


Main requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record in strategic planning and execution.
  • 5+ years of experience in information security management, including hands-on experience with security frameworks and practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • The role may require occasional on-call availability for critical security incidents.
