Description
Under general supervision, leads work of assigned security officers and performs regular security officer duties for assigned areas.
- Performs security officer duties and leads work of assigned security officers.
- Patrols assigned areas to check for criminal activity, rule violations, and irregularities.
- Investigates and reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to campus police unit as needed.
- Coordinates and monitors work activities of field Security Officers at particular locations.
- Monitors shift activity and makes recommendations for adjustments in shift assignments as needed.
- Trains new security officers or other personnel and provides on-going work leadership.
- Performs other job-related duties assigned.
Qualifications
High school and 3 years experience.
Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of three (3) years directly job-related experience.
