Position Summary:
The Strategic Initiatives Execution Lead (Sr. Manager), plays a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of strategic initiatives across various businesses, including Health Care Benefits, Health Care Delivery, Pharmacy Services, and Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness. This position requires a seasoned professional with strong data analysis and insights skills. As a key member of the team, the Senior Manager will provide project leadership, manage relationships, and ensure timely development of strategy. This individual is responsible for collaborating across Enterprise Strategy and with businesses to develop strategies for CVS Health’s highest priority strategic initiatives that optimize the consumer experience, best integrate our assets, and maximize growth and value for the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Research and analysis:
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate business opportunities, drive data-backed decision-making process and provide recommendations to senior executives.
- Research areas may include, but not limited to, key competitors, financial statement analysis, macro and market trends, emerging capabilities, and others.
Strategic Leadership:
- Provide critical thinking and structure to bring business hypotheses from concept to operationalization.
- Drive cross-enterprise strategic alignment and engage key enterprise and business unit stakeholders through progression of strategy development.
- Ensure alignment with the organization’s vision and goals.
- Provide strategic direction for process enhancements, productivity improvements, and automated solutions.
Communication:
- Prepare executive-level communication vehicles (e.g., presentations) to facilitate decision making process and support senior leadership’s communication of CVS Health strategy to internal and external audiences, including Board of Directors and investors.
Collaboration and Liaison:
- Build relationships with peers, senior executives, and cross-functional teams to drive strategy development and implementation.
- Drive alignment and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Communicate progress to senior leaders and prepare updates for executive leadership and Board meetings.

You will be working in a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite) in one of the CVS Health offices in Hartford, CT; Boston, MA or NYC.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in Strategy and/or Corporate Development and technical/functional experience in at least one of the following areas in Healthcare: management consulting, strategy, financial analysis, public policy, product development, mergers and acquisitions.
- 5+ years advanced Excel experience with ability to analyze data and tell a story.
- 3+ years Data Analysis and Financial Modeling.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability and comfort in collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to think & act strategically: Demonstrated ability to simplify complex details to coordinate solution components across multiple work streams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Market data.
Education:
- BA/BS required.
- MBA preferred.
Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is: $79,200.00 - $174,200.00.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
