Description
Corroborates patient’s clinical history, assuring information is documented and available for the radiologist.
Prepares patient for procedure, instructs patient for examination, relieves patient’s anxiety. Verifies informed consent.
Complies with departmental scheduling guidelines. Is prepared to start shift on time. Takes rotating shifts and call.
Performs skills according to accepted standards as listed within the orientation skills checklist.
Determines proper transducer for examination follows established protocols, records data as necessary. Transports patients as necessary.
Performs office procedures accurately in absence of clerical personnel. Prepares reports for data processing.
Written documentation is accurate, concise, and legible.
Always wears film badge above the collar. Turns in film badge monthly for evaluation and follows up on results.
Provides instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety. Provides psychological needs of patient during procedure.
