THE POSITION

Wernersville State Hospital is on the lookout for a dedicated, compassionate, and diligent Social Worker 1 who is committed to enhancing the lives of the individuals we serve within our facility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will take on the responsibility of delivering a comprehensive array of services and interventions tailored to individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis. It will be essential for you to ensure that these services are suitable and relevant to the diverse ages and backgrounds of the consumers. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and exploring various options aimed at addressing challenges or enhancing the quality of these services, all while maintaining adherence to the standards set forth by Medicare and Medical Assistance programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
    • Schedule may change based on operational needs
  • Overtime and travel as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in social work or social welfare.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
