CSI Recruiting is working with a long-standing E&P firm with a reputation for responsible asset development and high employee satisfaction, assisting in their search for an experienced Regulatory Analyst in their Dallas, Texas office.
This Regulatory Analyst position is responsible for the coordination and completion of all government, State/Federal, regulatory, and compliance documents for all facilities and wells in Texas and Oklahoma, including coordination of all reports and data transfer utilized in regulatory and environmental compliance. As a member of the company's small and experienced regulatory team, this individual is expected to actively participate in a team environment, always communicating in a professional and service-oriented manner. Process improvement and optimization opportunities are encouraged.
The Regulatory Analyst will work closely with the firm's operations team and petroleum engineers, and is responsible for:
  • All aspects of regulatory reporting on new acquisitions to comply with state and federal agencies that oversee the activities and operations of the oil and gas industry;
  • All aspects of regulatory transfers due to divestitures;
  • Preparation and filing of regulatory forms and logs pertaining to drilling and completions, workovers and recompletions, plugging, salt water disposal conversions, pipeline permits, and all other functions required to support an active drilling and exploitation program;
  • Development and maintenance of all necessary permits, including assisting with emergency permitting and modifying permits to align with changing priorities;
  • Coordination of regulatory well integrity testing requirements and submission of results;
  • Development of business relationships with professionals at regulatory agencies to ensure knowledge of and compliance with applicable rules and regulations;
  • Regular communication with regulatory agencies, including the Texas Railroad Commission on the status and accuracy of permits as well as expiration dates;
  • Establishing a working relationships with engineering, geology, field, and other internal employees to meet business needs;
  • Achievement of the company's goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests
Requirements
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of upstream oil & gas Regulatory experience with emphasis on Texas and Oklahoma State regulatory filings;
  • General knowledge of oilfield procedures and terminology with focus on drilling and completion operations;
  • Strong computer skills using relevant software including Microsoft Office and internet applications;
  • Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with excellent organizational skills who can handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail, thoroughness, dependability; and
  • Strong ability to work as a team player, within Engineering and with other departmental staff
