A growing Real Estate Investment Manager in the Philadelphia area is seeking aSenior Property Accountant as a result of steady, continuous growth. The company has an impressive and financially diligent growth strategy and continues to acquire portfolios nationally within the Light Industrial space. This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Property Accountant who has a passion for working in a high growth, high reward environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Own and manage the accounting function on a portfolio of industrial assets
  2. Prepare and enter journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  3. Comprehend the CAM/true-up process, lease set ups and agreements, and onboarding process for new properties within the YARDI platform
  4. Prepare account reconciliations, analyze variances, including budget v. month-to-month actuals
  5. Independently analyze and explain variances between the General Ledger and related systems
  6. Assist in the preparation and review of property budgets
  7. Work with relevant parties to manage the loan draw process and capital expenditures
  8. Submit and review monthly sales tax transactions to relevant authorities
  9. Assist in onboarding new properties as acquired, ensuring they roll up into the monthly reporting process, working with owners to facilitate true-up process
  10. Recommend process improvements where necessary

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related, with 3-5 years’ experience in Property Accounting
  2. Working knowledge of the YARDI platform
  3. Strong attention to detail, financial accuracy, and ability to prioritize workload according to deadlines
  4. Strong communication skills, effectively communicates with related stakeholders such as Property Managers
  5. High level of initiative, can work autonomously in a dynamic and changing environment

Compensation: $100,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
