Schneider Electric has an excellent opportunity for a Outsourcing Director to join our team. This person will be responsible for the spend assigned and work with multiple key stakeholders to ensure the strategy defined responds to Group imperatives and business plans, building long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers.


What will you do?
  • Define the most adapted procurement outsourcing strategy for the commodity, fitting SE needs and secure its execution within all SE entities in the NAM region.
  • Develop and execute a robust risk management process for key components, linking market cost fluctuations to SE selling price decision-making.
  • Secure the optimum performance of the commodity spend and suppliers in terms of Quality, Costs, and Service to meet the needs of SE stakeholders and end customers.
  • Ensure respect for "SE Principles of Responsibility" and SE ethics for all team members.
  • Enable partnerships with suppliers, particularly regarding all innovation subjects.
  • Convince & influence all actors inside Schneider on this Market, being the contact for all Business Units within the Region and Functions for sourcing of key components.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, or other related functions is required.
  • 15+ years of experience managing Electrical and Electrical category.
  • Customer-oriented, but also willing and able to challenge stakeholders.
  • Strong Strategic Vision with strong execution power.
  • Strong track record of successfully leading global transformation.
  • Excellent Negotiating skills and experience working in a strategic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form, and to listen well to others to genuinely understand their viewpoints and take them into consideration of sourcing strategy and supplier selection.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete complex, cross-business projects in a multi-dimensional organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to "sell" one's ideas to others in a very diverse, multicultural business environment.
  • A self-starter with a high degree of motivation who can work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Open personality that is naturally curious to learn yet very focused on essential activities as agreed with management.
