Accountability: Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the receipt, inventory, and shipments of raw materials and finished goods in a manner that meets or exceeds customer demands. This is done through working closely with department lead, customer service, procurement, inventory control, and manufacturing.
Job Summary: Responsible for the supervision of all shipping, receiving and warehouse employees. Oversee third-party logistics partners. Develop SOPs and packaging specs for domestic and international shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all materials are received promptly and accurately.
- Oversee daily performance and completion of shipping/receiving duties bases on demand and needs of the department.
- Assist department lead with training/cross-training of shipping/receiving staff.
- Complete performance reviews of direct reports on an annual basis.
- Lead and or assist with continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Investigate customer shipment errors with order processing and help to develop corrective actions.
- Control flow of materials to and from the production floor to adhere the processes in place within the department.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in export processes.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and documentation requirements including USCMA.
Interaction: The Warehouse Supervisor will interact with the owners, managers, sales force, customers, vendors, outside warehouses, procurement, marketing, supervisors, scheduling, customer service, administration, and hourly employees.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, distribution management, operations, or similar field of study.
- Associate degree with 5 plus years relevant leadership and logistics experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Good understanding and experience in exports to Canada, and Latin American.
- Able to work with little or no supervision and meet personal and company performance objectives.
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, and networking skills are required.
- Experience operating in a self-directed work team environment.
- Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and task on a regular basis.
- Ability to positively motivate individuals and team to meet or exceed expectations.
- Leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates, and the ability to evaluate and positively influence performance.

- Experience with ERP (preferably NetSuite) and a warehouse management software (preferably RfSmart)
Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand continuously and work a 10-hour shift and overtime as needed. Must be able to squat/bend/kneel, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb/reach/overhead, operate equipment (i.e., forklift, order picker, scissor lift.). Must be able to react positively and quickly to changing situations.
