Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Our client is an energy company. They are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the integration and deployment of the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) system
• Liaise with software engineers, data scientists, and satellite operations specialists
• Expand automated deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure
• Advocate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Complete security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks
• Confirm compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and cybersecurity frameworks
• Oversee automated testing processes on the functionality of the SDA system
• Create and implement efficient data processing pipelines
• Research the latest trends and advancements in DevSecOps and SDA technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience as a development engineer and/or senior software engineer required
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, IaC, and version control systems
• Experience with standing up and managing production Kubernetes clusters
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization technologies
• Knowledge of security frameworks, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills
• Proficient with programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Proficient with tools like Helm, Terraform, Istio, Twistlock, and SonarQube
