Role Description

This is a part-time role as a photographer/videographer/editor. As a content creator, you will shoot, edit, and produce high-quality shorts ranging from :15, :30, and 60-seconds in length for various social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Meta, etc. This role will collaborate with the brand and creative teams to develop video concepts and take ownership of video projects from start to finish, including shooting content, editing videos, and post-production with a high level of autonomy.


What deliverables Could look like on a monthly basis:

  • Podcast production, editing, and publishing
  • Talking head style interviews of team members and clients
  • Construction site reels (ASMR, Project updates, instructional videos, etc)
  • Drone video of construction sites and buildings
  • Architectural style final photos
  • Lifestyle and event photos/video
  • Vlog Editing


This role will require between 15-20 hours a week in the office with the opportunity for additional hours as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Onsite Filming & Photography: Visit job sites, capturing both high-quality video footage and professional-grade photos. Collaborate closely with the Marketing and operations teams to execute creative briefs and ensure all content aligns with our social media strategy.
  • Drone Operation: Utilize your skills as a drone pilot to capture aerial video footage and photos, showcasing our projects from unique perspectives.
  • Content Creation: Develop visually engaging video and photo content optimized for social media platforms, including Instagram Reels, TikToks, stories, and carousel posts. Ensure that all content is tailored to platform-specific requirements, including format, length, and style.
  • Editing Expertise: Editing both video and photo content using tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software. Ensure that all content is polished, engaging, and aligned with current social media trends.
  • Photography for Real Estate: Capture high-quality images of remodeling projects that highlight the craftsmanship and design of select projects. Ensure photos are well-composed, properly lit, and reflect the essence of our work.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to execute creative briefs and bring the brand’s vision to life. Provide input on content strategy and participate in brainstorming sessions.
  • Platform Optimization: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, best practices, and video and photo trends.


Requirements and Skills

  • Proven Filming & Photography Experience: Demonstrated experience in both filming and photographing high-quality content, particularly for social media platforms.
  • Extensive Editing Skills: Proficiency in video and photo editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software. Ability to create polished, engaging, and trend-aligned content.
  • Social Media Expertise: Understanding of both video and photo content requirements for various social media platforms, including trends, formats, and best practices.
  • Real Estate Experience: Experience in filming, photographing, and editing content for real estate projects is a plus.
  • Creative Vision: Ability to translate the brand’s vision into compelling visual stories through both video and photography that resonate with the target audience.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for working with the Social Media Manager, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in both filming, photographing, and editing to ensure high-quality output.
  • Time Management: Ability to effectively manage 20 hours per week, balancing time between on-site filming, photography, and editing content.


BONUS

  • Certified Drone Pilot: Experience in capturing aerial footage and photos, especially for real estate or construction projects. If you are not certified, we will pay for your training and license.
