GENERAL SUMMARY:
Position will obtain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Associate Career and Compensation Plan in order to analyze global commission and incentive expenses and to ensure that expenses are recorded properly to the P&L. Prepare monthly commission and incentive accruals and analyze actual commission payouts. Prepare quarterly reports for CFO and Audit Committee. Prepare specialized financial and statistical reports and account analyses. Supervises Staff Accountant – Commission Specialist.
Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Normally receives minimal instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
- Prepare monthly commission and incentive accruals.
- Analyze global commission payouts for all countries and ensure expenses match revenues.
- Prepare quarterly commission reports for CFO and Audit Committee.
- Review accounting entries recording commission payouts to general ledger.
- Analyze/synchronize Incentive Accruals for all countries.
- Review and approve commission check reissues.
- Review monthly commission bank reconciliations for various countries.
- Perform tasks, including report generation and reconciliations, needed to close Commission module within JD Edwards for all countries in accordance with month end closing schedule.
- Assist with integrated system testing as it relates to commission payout process.
- Ensure Staff Accountant processes commission runs following established policies and procedures.
- Compile data for and prepare regularly scheduled special reports and analyses.
- Review internal control documents and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience
EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
CPA preferred, not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Five to eight years’ experience in financial accounting.
