SUMMARY
The Tulsa Dream Center (TDC) Director of Programs is responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of Tulsa Dream Center programs including, but not limited to, TDC L.I.F.E Enrichment program, Clothing, Medical, Hot meals, Badges and school led programs. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities, oversight of staff and oversight and enhancement of programs to further TDC’s mission and reach in the Tulsa Community.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively manage and provide oversight for all programs at Tulsa Dream Center.
  • Engage and manage outside partners to bring programs to TDC.
  • Implement planning strategies for the overall programs at TDC and its activities in accordance with the mission and goals of Tulsa Dream Center, its policies, compliance, and grant parameters.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to develop new program initiatives that support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to design and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs at Tulsa Dream Center.
  • Coordinate with the Operations and Finance department of the Tulsa Dream Center to develop an annual budget and operating plan to support programming.
  • Identify donors and partnership opportunities to assist funding for the Tulsa Dream Center programs and initiatives and work with Grant Writers to develop funding proposals for Tulsa Dream Center.
  • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure program activities operate within the approved budget, policies and procedures and grant parameters of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain forms and records to document program activities.
  • In consultation with the Executive Director: recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff for all Dream Center programs.
  • Establish and implement a performance management process for all program staff.
  • Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training.
  • Supervise program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback.
  • Communicate with members and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program.
  • Cultivate existing relationships with vendors, community groups, companies, and schools with the goal of ensuring sufficient resources and access to services.
  • Identify and coordinate student classes, seminars, and camps.
  • Report on programs for management and donors to Executive Director and invested Donors and Leadership.
  • Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework.
  • Report evaluation findings to the Executive Director and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in related field.
  • Experience in public relations, marketing and communications in relation to community programs and non-profit organizations.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing community and educational programs with an emphasis on community outreach.
  • Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs.
  • Demonstrated strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility and performance.
  • Knowledge and experience working in grants, maintaining donor relationships and identify alternate avenues of funding for non-profit programs.
  • Highly skilled in technology and experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.) and web-based management programs.

  • Physical exertion such as standing, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting and reaching; and walk a short to long distances.
