Growing together.The Technical Engineer role is primarily focused on bringing online Optum’s Radiology PACS system for our customers. Working in collaboration with a cohesive team, you will be the lead technical resource to coordinate, install, customize, troubleshoot and validate the configuration of hardware (virtual and physical) and software to integrate the RAD PACS system to the customer’s HIS/RIS (Hospital/Radiology Information System), as well as Windows Active Directory domain, network, and imaging modalities.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Work closely with customers and internal technical team members to design, plan and implement optimal deployments of Radiology PACSInstall and configure VMs/servers/workstations at customer sites and remotelyConfigure and customize proprietary Radiology PACS softwareEvaluate, analyze, and troubleshoot system, application, and end user issues (Oracle, Microsoft OS, Active Directory, Networking, Hardware)Assist with customer testingCreate and update issue tickets as neededTest, benchmark and verify that the implemented system is error freeSupport the customer during go-live when system is activated for live Production useTravel to client sites for install/go-live support as neededYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:3+ years of IT experience implementing Information SystemsActive Directory and Windows Server OS knowledge and experienceExperience with server and workstation hardwareExperience with Oracle databaseExperience in a customer-facing roleExperience with Windows applications such as Word, Excel, PowerpointUnderstanding of network topology and protocolsCapable of lifting 50 lbs. of server/computer equipmentProven ability to work independently and under tight timelinesAble and willing to travel up to 50%Preferred Qualifications:MCSE or A+ certificationSecurity+ certificationExperience implementing PACS, RIS, EMR or other clinical systemsExperience in PACS application administrationExperience with Medical Imaging/DICOM protocolExperience with HL7 protocol*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually.
