Senior IT / ERP Manager (Finance and Accounting Applications)

As the Senior IT Manager for Finance and Accounting, you will spearhead the strategic oversight and operational management of financial and accounting digital transformations using SAAS and On-Premise applications. Based in the culturally diverse and vibrant Birmingham, Alabama, this role stands as a career-defining opportunity in a thriving urban setting known for its affordable, high-quality life and extensive cultural offerings.

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team responsible for the strategy, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT Finance and Accounting business applications.
  • Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and scheduling within the team to ensure optimal productivity and professional growth.
  • Oversee all system configurations, integrations, workflows, reporting, and analytics within the Finance and Accounting domain.
  • Provide strategic leadership in cross-functional projects, ensuring design and solutions consider impacts on current business processes across multiple domains.
  • Ensure service level management adheres to SLAs, manage incident and enhancement ticketing systems, and oversee the delivery of smaller scale projects.
  • Collaborate with development, integration, and testing teams to produce high-quality solutions and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Lead quarterly patch evaluation, development of testing plans, unit testing and coordination with business users to ensure continuous systems improvement and business continuity.
  • Act as key stakeholder in M&A activities, assessing impacts and leading execution plans for systems integration across business units.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience in IT management within the finance and accounting sectors.
  • 4+ years in leadership roles managing IT Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Extensive expertise in implementing and supporting Oracle EBS and transitioning to Cloud-based solutions like Fusion Financials.
  • Strong familiarity with managing SaaS applications in financial operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Information Technology from an accredited university.
  • Proven ability in advising business units, challenging business norms, and driving transformational change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior consulting experience within IT and financial systems implementation.
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage high-pressure situations.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and conditions while maintaining a strategic focus.
  • Local to Birmingham or willing to relocate upon hire.
