This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning organization and leading provider of substance use disorder treatment in Southeastern Connecticut. In 2023. You will work with a dedicated team in our programs located in Lebanon, New London, and Norwich Ct.

Summary:
Provide and coordinate outreach and educational services for families and significant others of clients in treatment at SCADD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following as allowed by specific program, State regulations, and Scope of Practice limitations:
  • Assist in orienting families/significant others to the goals of treatment, expectations governing client conduct and family role in supporting treatment.
  • Provide education and information to families/significant others individually and through groups concerning substance use disorders, recovery resources and family dynamics.
  • Collaborate with program staff regarding client case management to align family services effectively and recommend post-discharge resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to respond to family needs during acute emotional distress.
  • Support the family system in identifying strengths, weaknesses, problems, and needs in ongoing treatment planning to address substance use and/or mental health issues.
  • Meet with multidisciplinary team as appropriate to collaborate on actions to support the family and successful discharge
  • Promote stability and encourage family engagement and investment
  • Meet all documentation requirements for engagement, referral and contractual networking, and incident reporting.
Education and/or Experience:
Addiction and/or recovery peer training
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Certification/bachelor's degree in substance use, recovery coaching, or related field preferred
