ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE - Luxury Home Builder/Exquisite Remodels - San Francisco Bay Area

Wentworth Executive Recruiting has been retained exclusively by a Luxury Home Builder in the San Francisco Bay Area to secure a Business Development Executive to add to their team. Carol Ann Wentworth, CEO, Wentworth Executive Recruiting.

This Construction company is a family-owned business that specializes in High End Luxury home building and exquisite remodels. Exceptional company culture, competitive compensation. This is an outside sales position meeting with up to 10 Architects a week in the SF Bay Area. You currently must live in the Bay Area. To be successful in this position it is good to have an established book of business with architects, interior designers, and engineers in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Position

The Business Development Executive will actively meet with area architects and engineers in the SF Bay area. A Key Qualifier for this position is to have an established book of business with architects that one has worked with over the years. Must have an outgoing personality to engage with architects and engineers to share the company brand and secure potential bids for their projects. Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, an eye for luxury home building and design, with a track record of excellence as a Sales Manager, Director, Account Manager or Head of Sales in this vertical of sales.

Position Description

  1. Visit SF Bay Area Architects and Engineers (roughly 10 different firms per week, approximately 40 different firms per month) on a regular basis. Being proactive to secure an opportunity to bid on the projects they have on their boards that compliment the project type and cost range.
  2. The Business Development Executive will meet weekly in person with the Operations manager or President to go over potential leads.
  3. BD Executive will attend monthly staff meetings (usually 2nd Weds. of the month at Noon).
  4. BD Executive will emphasize company qualities to the people whom they meet with to include:
  5. ---The company's professionalism, high level of integrity of their team along with the work they do, Computerized proposals, CPM Microsoft Project Schedule, AC2000 Cost Control Software (fully integrated), Procore Project Management Software, Project tracking, submittals, RFI’s and photographs.
  6. For each new prospective project – secure a “PP” number from the office manager in company Systems.
  7. Print out the plans and documents for the Sr. Estimator for review, help coordinate meetings between the prospective client and employer.
  8. Enter each prospective client's contact information in the master outlook contacts list.
  9. Update and maintain the Coffee Table Book (through Shutterfly template).
  10. Update and maintain the Website.
  11. Update and maintain the long range project lookout schedules.
  12. Update and maintain the Mailchimp “audience list.” (Entering each new prospective client and architects’ information).
  13. Help facilitate sending a monthly marketing e-card with outside marketing consultant.
  14. Post weekly on the Instagram page.
  15. Update and maintain the Holiday Gift recipient list.
  16. Prepare, maintain, update, and present a power point presentation about the company and their values at various functions (The Right Choice).
  17. Be a “Brand Ambassador” for the company when taking architects and engineers to outside venues to discuss the company’s qualifications to include sporting events, trade shows, lunches, dinners, coffees, etc.
  18. The Business Development Executive will be required to complete a daily timecard and turn it into the office on a weekly basis. This is used to align time periods to specific projects.

Key Qualifications

  1. Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years as a Business Development Manager, Director, Account Manager or Sales Director in the Luxury Home vertical of sales, working with Architects, Engineers, General Contractors that align with the company's level of quality of homes/remodels.
  2. Ideal candidate will have a book of business (rolodex) of architects, engineers, and general contractors that they have worked with in the SF Bay Area and that are in good standings with their relationships with these firms.
  3. Degree in Communications, Marketing/Sales, or Construction Management a plus.
  4. Employee agrees to authorize the employer the right to engage a third party service to conduct a background investigation.
  5. Employee should be required to have a clean State of CA Driver’s license.
  6. Employee shall have a dependable car for transportation and car insured at all times.

Compensation Package

  1. Base salary range $110K - $145K - Depending on experience.
  2. Plus an incentive bonus package. This will be shared with you should you make it through the interview process.
  3. Holiday pay

  6. Dental Plan (Delta Dental) paid for by the employee
