Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics in Oklahoma City, OK

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** 3 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
**License:** Current RN License from the relevant State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support and PALS (both issued by the American Heart Association)
**Must-Have:** Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently.
- Interact with family and patients to share care plans while in the hospital and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Maintain good working relationships with other employees and respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
