Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting/Credit Manager will oversee a small accounting team to lead our A/R and A/P processes for accuracy and completeness. This role is responsible for daily, monthly, and yearly management of the A/R and A/P ledgers as well as managing all the activities related to customer credit and ongoing customer management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other departments, and can develop new processes for a growing manufacturing company.

EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (4 year degree) or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and appropriate accounting standards for manufacturing companies.
  • At least 2 years of management experience in accounting
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge is a must. Proficiency in accounting/financial software, ideally Sage 50.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Managing day-to-day accounting transactions and activity in a manufacturing environment, including A/R, A/P, and Accruals.
  • Manages all month-end and year-end accounting procedures and reports for A/P, A/R, and Accruals.
  • Assesses the creditworthiness of potential customers, including establishing payment terms and credit limits. Coordinates the credit approval process for new customers.
  • Monitors the credit risk associated with customer accounts, and implements procedures to achieve monthly collection goals, to ensure all billings are paid timely. Reviews the aging report and coordinates collection of past due amounts.
  • Maintains customer master files, customer payment histories and adjusts customer credit limits and terms as necessary. Maintains vendor master files and vendor/customer account setup in ERP and accounting system.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Implements the processes and standards around paperless workflows for all accounting processes through company's internal paperless software.
  • Incorporates All Weather's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to those values.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, terminating, disciplining and coaching employees. Two individuals will report to this position at this time.
  • Assists with periodic/annual audit and tax preparation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires sitting for long periods of time. Some filing will be required, this would include being able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance. May require occasional bending, squatting, climbing and reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
