We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager to join our Valuation Advisory Services practice.
This is a virtual position. A virtual position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. As a virtual employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client working, team meetings or training.

This position will support our Valuation Advisory group. This group provides a wide suite of services to clients, giving you the opportunity to learn, grow, and build out your skills. As a member of this team, you’ll interact with team members across all levels within the practice.

YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- P rovide technical support relating to fair value reporting estimates to the assurance practice. This includes the review of third-party and management prepared valuations for financial reporting purposes, and preparation of support documentation related to fair value measurements prepared for ASC350, 360, 718, 805, 820, 825, 860, and 946 purposes.
- Manage and coordinate the work performed by less experienced staff. Adhere to best practice guidance issued by FASB, IFRS, SEC, PCAOB, AICPA, Appraisal Foundation relevant to the subject matter.
- Identity deviations from generally accepted valuation methods and techniques.
- Work closely with senior management to promptly identify issues.
- Train, manage and mentor less experienced staff on technical fair value concepts, testing, and documentation. Serve as the day-to-day point person on review engagements with assurance team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, portraying knowledge and confidence. Ability to work well with multiples teams and/or independently.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across firm service lines.
- Work closely with senior management within the Valuation Advisory Practice.
- Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or mathematics. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 6+ years of third-party valuation review experience at a senior level at a large public accounting firm, including experience resolving complex technical matters pertaining to fair value measurements. Familiarity/experience in fair value guidance and its application. Experience with private equity is a plus.
- ASA, CPA/CVA, CFA or related valuation credential is a plus.
- Technical background with business combination and private equity fair value reporting, including fair value review experience.
- Current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, IFRS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions
- Experience with the valuation of debt and equity structures; including experience with complex structures with preferred, common, convertible, and contingent securities is a plus.
- Experience with modeling in Microsoft Excel and VBA, MathWorks MATLAB or Oracle Crystal Ball, S&P Capital IQ, and Bloomberg, is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a timely manner, in a rapidly growing environment.
- Strong training, and mentoring.
- Ability to work on all client service deliverables.
- Ability to travel as needed.
