Main Duties & Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee an organization’s sales and marketing programs. Develop strategic sales and marketing objectives.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams for the onboarding of new programs.
  3. Lead/participate in inter-company projects to advance the new business portfolio of RSA.
  4. Plan, organize, implement and control a variety of interrelated sales and marketing activities required to ensure maximum market penetration for products or capabilities of the Company.
  5. Lead the annual planning and strategic planning under the guidance of the site General Manager.
  6. Direct the development of company marketing programs.
  7. Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, product lifecycle planning, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch.
  8. Contribute to all aspects of the business as a member of the Executive Team.
  9. Plan and develop sales and marketing strategy, and review and recommend such strategy to management for consideration and acceptance.
  10. Develop and implement tactics to carry out sales and marketing objectives through accepted strategy.
  11. Devise, develop and implement participation in trade shows and exhibits to gain market share, new business opportunities, and understand any process or capability constraints.
  12. Direct the preparation of proposals, technical and commercial.
  13. Participate in contract negotiations and contract definition, and work with leadership and legal team to protect the business and ensure profitability.
  14. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  15. Direct personnel in the preparation of technical literature, data sheets, etc., describing the Company’s products and capabilities through in-house or external sources.
  16. Organize and conduct training programs and seminars for any future sales force.
  17. Maintain current knowledge of the status of competition, analyze voice of customer and award wins and losses, and disseminate such information to appropriate areas of management.
  18. Make pricing recommendations/decisions on products based on customer responses and reactions gleaned from field sales information.
  19. Maintain a knowledge of governmental regulations and practices.
  20. Stay current with potential government, commercial and industrial areas where there is possible penetration.
  21. Coordinate activities of customer support and any other duties as assigned.
  22. Fully support and implement any new programs that are advised by TriMas corporate team.
  23. Fully utilize the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $180,000.00-$210,000.00 annually.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/ Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 7-10 years of sales and marketing experience. Familiar with a variety of the fields’ concepts, practices and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Have a solid understanding of financial documents and be able to analyze costing, site performance.
  • Be familiar with ECS Systems and System Components – able to communicate well with customers.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Able to perform a variety of tasks.
  • Able to lead and direct the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to read and comprehend general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to use PC and relative software programs.

Essential Physical/Mental Abilities Required:

Must be able to read, write and speak English, individual is required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
