Role Summary

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for completing payroll processing and all aspects associated with it. Reviewing, reconciling, auditing & balancing payroll documents/files to ensure practices are following company policy as well as regulatory guidelines. Providing customer service for all employees and third-party vendors associated with all aspects of payroll. Training staff in new procedures and overseeing the preparation of special payrolls. As part of the Regional payroll team, you will be responsible for processing region payroll in the United States and Canada using ADP GlobalView and Celergo payroll software, Workday HRIS system, UKG Kronos time and attendance software, and other 3rd party inbound and outbound vendors.

Requirements

  • Utilizing the payroll system to accurately calculate and process multiple pay frequencies (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly). Maintaining accurate record keeping and supporting spreadsheets and documents for all filings and payments.

  • Providing regular customer service and promptly addressing Tier 2 employee inquiries and resolving any payroll-related discrepancies.

  • Completing internal and external reporting to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Ensuring specific compliance requirements are administered timely including but not limited to (DOL, IRS, FLSA, Federal & State regulations, garnishments, levies, court orders, company policy, direct deposit, W-4, escheated property, audits, internal procedures, and record retention).

  • Completing quarter-end and year-end balancing, year-end documents and annual filings.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Serving on cross departmental teams and providing payroll support for project teams.

  • Participating in and/or leads/rolls out new procedures/projects and improvements due to business changes, operational requirements, strategic initiatives, and legal requirements.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or equivalent experience in accounting, finance and / or Human Resources.

  • 5 plus years of experience in payroll processing

  • Knowledge of global payroll processes, labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance.

  • Proficiency in payroll and time keeping systems, such as Workday, ADP GlobalView and Celergo and UKG Kronos

  • English fluency in verbal and written communications

  • Proven experience working across multiple countries to process payroll.

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages with all levels in the organization, including breaking down complex topics for target audiences.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Demonstrate an elevated level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Strong communication, customer service skills, friendly and professional attitude

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the base salary range for this role is $65,000- $90,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
