Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team on an upcoming Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) Support Program. The role focuses on ensuring VA's cybersecurity framework is resilient, compliant with federal standards, and supports modern technologies such as TIC 3.0, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), DevSecOps, and the security of mobile and medical devices.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and enhancement of VA's cybersecurity architecture, including TIC 3.0, ZTA, and DevSecOps frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to safeguard VA systems and data.
  • Provide expert support on securing mobile technologies and medical devices, ensuring compliance with VA's cybersecurity policies.
  • Assist in the development of reference architectures and design patterns to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards such as NIST SP 800-53, CISA guidelines, and OMB directives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats across VA's infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance on the implementation of security controls and recommend enhancements to existing security policies and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on risk analysis, security incidents, and recommended mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Active or ability to obtain a Department of Veterans Affairs Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on federal or healthcare IT environments.
  • Strong familiarity with TIC 3.0, ZTA, DevSecOps, and mobile security.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, CISA, and OMB.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.
