SUMMARY

Responsible for providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting new business on existing accounts and support of Producer-led new business efforts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports Producer in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects.
  2. Analyzes certificate, endorsement, and audit requests.
  3. Initiates necessary corrections to ensure accuracy of dates, coverage, signatures, commission, premium, attachments, etc.
  4. Facilitates flow of information from agents and underwriters, whether to internal teams and/or clients.
  5. Initiates cancellation and non-renewal notices timely according to statutory and contractual requirements.
  6. Responds promptly to all requests from internal team, (re)insurers or clients regarding account servicing issues.
  7. Interacts regularly with brokers, clients, and underwriters regarding certificates; responding to queries and concerns with a prompt resolution.
  8. Provides and/or assists with quotations and binders for new business, renewals and endorsements.
  9. Proactively initiates and coordinates renewal activity on assigned accounts.
  10. Reviews client accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contacts client on receivable collections.
  11. Provides technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues.
  12. Notifies brokers of pertinent information related to client retention.
  13. Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
  14. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Six (6) or more years related work experience.

Valid insurance license.

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.

Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor.


SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork.

Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills.

Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
