About the Role
As our Quality Manager, you'll lead the development of strategies and processes to ensure top-notch product quality and drive continuous improvement across our North Carolina and Wisconsin facilities. This position is based out of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining our BRCGS for Packaging certification while managing quality departments and contributing to plant and divisional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality strategies and processes across the company
- Ensure product safety, legality, and regulatory compliance in packaging manufacturing
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction programs
- Coordinate BRCGS for Packaging compliance and certification maintenance
- Manage document control processes and internal audit programs
- Track, record, and publish quality objectives monthly
- Oversee calibration of quality equipment (e.g., spectro densitometers, scales)
- Serve as the company's quality management expert, providing training and guidance
- Handle customer complaints and lead root cause analysis investigations
- Manage RMA processes, including Macola system entries and team communications
- Collaborate cross-functionally on new item specifications and system setup
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety rules, and BRCGS guidelines
Qualifications We're Looking For
- Two years of college education and/or five years of experience in flexographic printing and management
- Preferred: College diploma and 5 years in Quality Systems Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Macola, and Wysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Keen attention to detail and effective time management skills
Travel Requirements
- 25% travel, typically monthly visits to the Wisconsin plant and possible customer visits
