Description
AWESOME opportunity to work with Simpson Door's production group and plant supervisors/leads in designing, planning, preparing and releasing designs, and creating manufacturing methods. Must have the ability to apply a wide range of design experience and perform a variety of semi-routine tasks, under minimum supervision, in support of location manufacturing and production needs. Will also participate in ensuring continuous improvement of product flow, quality, and efficiencies.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Respond timely to quote requests with drawings and technical documentation including but not limited to the ability to develop & maintain plans, drawings, diagrams and models in accordance with specifications, norms and techniques.
2. Participate in developing layout and specification sheets.
3. Assist with writing technical documentation.
4. Participate in design discussions and meetings.
5. Prepare layouts and perform drafting tasks from simple instructions in order to determine the best options and demonstrate/apply a broad knowledge of Autodesk CAD software.
6. Develop high-quality detailed documents while demonstrating a commitment to the following company standards.
7. Respond timely and accurately to requests via telephone, fax, email, etc.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required
- Demonstrated strong organization and time management skills.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and issues with proven ability to successfully meet deadlines as well as project implementation goals and priorities.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills to include an ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willing and able to work overtime when needed.
- Manufacturing experience in durable goods field.
- Education minimum 1-year education / formal training in AutoCAD or related field or equivalent coordinated and comprehensive education/training/work experience
