Job Requirements / Description
The ATS Board of Directors is an all-volunteer board providing oversight of the ATS Chief Executive Officer as well as organizational budgeting, financial management, and capital goals. As a team, we strive to provide expertise, community perspective, time, and organizational credibility.
We also have specialized functions focused on specific areas or projects of interest – either as individuals or as members of board committees.
Some of the responsibilities of the ATS Board of Directors are as follows:
- An initial 3-year term of office with an option of renewal.
- Participation in a Board of Directors orientation and onboarding process.
- Review all BOD meeting materials in advance of monthly board meetings.
- Serve on at least one ATS Board Committee (Finance, Fund Development, Executive, Board Relations, etc.).
- Attend regular meetings held on the fourth Thursday of each month, 5:30-7:00 pm.
- Recruit, nominate, and appoint new and diverse members to the Board of Directors.
- Additional duties are defined in the ATS Board of Directors Bylaws.
- Estimated Time Requirements:
- Active Board Participation: 2-4 hours per month. This includes reviewing the monthly board packet, attending regular board meetings, and committee meetings.
- Board Executive Committee: This includes the board President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. An additional 2 hours monthly to complete duties outlined in Bylaws.
