Job Responsibilities:
- Work with IT and Business teams to provide strategic guidance within the overall technology and promote standard solutions and best practices.
- Provide consulting to business clients to identify, analyze, and satisfy the business needs.
- Demonstrates understanding of business processes for several business functional areas, and can effectively coordinate the work on analysis and requirements for several projects.
- Demonstrates good understanding of the following areas: testing, project management, related Lines of Business processes, software development, object models, regulatory compliance, operational/disaster recovery, operations, maintenance, etc.
- Demonstrates level of expertise to act as a recognized authority for a project or initiative.
- Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and information needs for multiple business functional areas.
- Provide consulting information technology to the client to identify and satisfy the business needs, while helping anticipate potential issues.
- Facilitate, influence and build agreements on IT requirements and deliverables for multiple business clients.
- Takes initiative to understand in detail the current and future business environment.
- Define and document business functional, non-functional requirements and use cases for complex IT projects and initiatives.
- Evaluate, design and document solution alternatives to accommodate business needs or solve business issues.
- Perform system functionality gap analysis and provide recommendations to help resolve the gaps.
- Work with Development and Implementation Team to review technical designs and configuration of applications.
- Assisting with data conversion/migration, testing, training and cutover activities.
- Work with other systems to collect requirements for the integration with content management application.
- Provide knowledge transfer/training to other team members.
- Create process or data flow diagrams.
- Take active part in the defect management process, set priorities, research issues, and discuss compliance impacts and timelines with test lead.
- Review test plans and perform quality check of test results.
- Provide estimates for new developments or existing project enhancements.
- Provide expertise for issue resolution.
- Communicate IT processes to the business clients and serve as a key resource within the area of expertise.
- Mentor the associate, career, and entry-level team members.
- Provide timely responses to client inquiries or delegate as appropriate.
- Interact with third-party interface providers for end-to-end solution support.
- Acquire, develop and maintain knowledge base of the portfolio applications and its functionality in knowledge management tools like Wiki.
Desired:
- Expert knowledge of the business requirements process.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, good oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple corresponding Line of Business-related functional areas.
- Working knowledge of reporting and manipulation tools, relational databases, including querying.
- Ability to create visual representations of business processes (including business process flow, data flow, functional breakout structures) using various diagram creation tools such as MS Visio.
- Strong understanding of the utility industry and multiple functional areas of related Line of Business.
- 9 years of job-related experience in information technology.
- 3 years of experience working with records information systems.
- Strong knowledge of the Application Development Lifecycle (both waterfall and agile).
- Skilled and experienced in leading requirement gathering, business analysis, solution design, and testing.
- Knowledge of test script creation and defect reporting and tracking systems, such as Quality Center.
- Knowledge in concepts of cloud applications and integrations.
- Experience working with OpenText Documentum application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
