( TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse GIS Interns for our Summer 2025 intern program. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2025 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. Responsibilities Assist with internal efforts to update and maintain GIS solutions. Identify ways to lead with technology by researching new software or solutions to advance our services GIS map production and analysis, updating GIS quality standards including map templates, data resource library, etc. Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Science, Geography, Geology or minor/certificate in ArcGIS Minimum GPA of 3.0 Has excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented, critical thinking, takes initiative, resourcefulness, adaptability Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, detail orientated person Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Earth Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow Preferred Qualifications Experience with GIS software applications (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, QGIS, ESRI) preferred but not required.
