Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join a busy front desk team. This role involves welcoming patients, managing check-in procedures, and assisting with appointment scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and facilitate the check-in process.
- Verify insurance information and collect copays.
- Update patient demographic information in the system.
- Check physician schedules for errors and confirm patient appointments.
- Schedule follow-up visits upon patient checkout.
- Manage appointment voicemails and return calls to schedule appointments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical front desk role, preferably in a busy physician's office or specialty group.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and various plans.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
