| Job Title: Wheel Loader Operator | Benefits Included | Advancement Opportunity |Job DescriptionThe Operator position will work on a variety of projects in the Omaha area. Work includes projects for the City of Omaha, apartment complexes, neighborhood developments, and retail sites. The operator will work on a team of 5-6 people and report to the foreman on the job site, who will be the lead operator.Most of the work will be around underground water utilities (sewer and fresh water) and water control plans for sites including silt ponds and drainage trenches.Job duties also include:Safe operation of wheeled loaders, skid steers, and other general construction equipmentFueling, greasing, and maintaining equipment dailyAbility to understand and follow gradeAnticipate project needs and place material appropriately to keep crew moving without delayOccasionally, you will be asked to handle various other duties on a construction site, including helping dig trenches, setting pipe, and moving dirt. You need to be able to work long hours in adverse weather conditions. This is a construction environment with outside work, dealing with dirt and adverse weather conditions (hot in the summer, cold in the winter). Hours will vary depending on the day, weather, and project workload, but general hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturdays 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM based on weather. You need to be willing to get dirty. Crews will consist of 5-6 people, including a foreman (lead crew member and operator), operator, pipe layer, and two construction laborers.
