Our client is a software engineering firm that supports the Intelligence community programs. Their focus is to make a positive impact on National Security by bringing talented, highly-cleared Computer Scientists, Engineers, and Analysts to the Intelligence and Defense communities' most interesting and impactful programs. They are seeking skilled HPC Infrastructure Engineers for their high-profile mission-focused program.
Successful HPC Infrastructure Engineers will have:
- 5+ years of basic Linux skills; Install/update/administer
- Experience with managing a bare-metal hardware install
- Hardware skills: hands-on reaching systems, connecting network and direct attach storage devices, lights-out management of systems both local and remote, BMC management/firmware updates/setup
- Working skillset to include: users, applications, OS packages, kernel/OS configuration, filesystems (xfs, ext4, nfs, fuse), networks, firewalls, security/hardening (STIG, OSCAP)
- Familiar with storage hardware
- Working knowledge of PCle cards
- Basic knowledge of HPC technologies (at least 1 year of work experience): parallel/distributed file systems, high speed interconnect fabrics, HPC batch schedulers
This role is 100% on-site in Herndon, VA. An active TS/SCI or above clearance is required to start. If you do not hold a polygraph, you must be willing to sit for a CIPolygraph. Strong salaries + 100% paid healthcare (including family), 6 weeks PTO/holidays, 8% 401K, and more.
