12+ Month - Contract
M-F, 40 hours a week.
· Participate in the acquisition and implementation of new network hardware, software and security products
· Participates in problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
· Participates in creation and maintenance of documentation and support procedures for individual technologies
· Helps identify, prioritize and propose solutions for infrastructure improvement
· Reviews and improves City's current network documentation in coordination with Network Administrator and Network Engineer
· Coordinates infrastructure support with Network Engineer, Network Administrator and Systems Engineer
· Helps keep network project plan up to date as construction projects evolve
· Deploys network hardware, including switch installation and patching desktop and switch wiring at sites as needed
· Plans, tests, and implements upgrades and changes in coordination with information technology team, City staff and vendors
· Helps maintain relationships with network service providers
· Maintains compliance of regulatory and licensing requirements
· Collaborates with internal customers to help forecast future needs
· Participates in efforts to implement network updates including upgrades, patches, and new releases
· Acts as an escalation point for the helpdesk
· Performs other duties as apparent or assigned
