Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in mathematics, finance, and data science
  • Strong numerical and analytical background
  • Interest for quantitative finance and research
  • Deep academic knowledge of mathematics fundamentals: probability, statistics, analysis
  • Knowledge in programming and data management (Python, SQL, Tableau)
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Aptitude for problem solving and finding clever solutions to complex unstructured systems
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly with sharp communication skills and a teamwork mentality
  • Proactive, results-oriented
  • Fluent spoken and written English

Responsibilities

  • Review the execution methods used by the trading desk, contribute to the documentation and review alternative methodologies
  • Contribute to the team effort to have consistent data across the many existing reportings (continue to clean the data, analyze outliers, improve reportings ergonomy..)
  • Improve the granularity of the reporting around best execution (analysis of volume per segment, counterparties performance and ranking etc…)
  • Contribute to the team effort to improve TCA (transaction cost analysis) metrics
  • Review the consistency of the TCA across the different asset classes and participate to build appropriate dashboards
  • Propose improvements when relevant
  • Help build data science models to predict best execution methodologies or best counterparty
  • Assist the US Fixed Income trading desk for questions related to Simcorp Order Manager, the e-trading platforms and AXA IM in-house applications (Amber, Atlas, ATOM, etc)
  • Coordinate with the local teams (Compliance, Legal, Techno, Ops, etc) on trading initiatives, process changes, enhancements, etc
  • Assist the rest of the Business Coordination team with new funds onboarding and new counterparties onboarding (when needed by US Fixed Income desk in particular, but not limited to that)
  • Build Tableau reports dedicated to the Market & Liquidity Solutions department (turnover reports for instance)
