About the Role: The Vice President of Finance is responsible for all financial aspects of the company’s strategy, ensuring that financial operations, reporting, and strategy align with the overall business objectives. This role will focus on delivering value through strong financial management, operational efficiencies, capital allocation, and the execution of growth initiatives-whether organic or through mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making on growth initiatives, operational improvements, and market expansion.
- Act as a key partner to the Executive Leadership Team, advising on financial matters including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to leadership.
- Lead the company’s annual audit process and ensure timely and accurate filings of all statutory requirements.
Operational Finance:
- Optimize working capital, cash management, and liquidity, ensuring the company has the resources needed for day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing key metrics, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain a financial infrastructure that supports scalability and efficiency.
- Manage and streamline financial systems, processes, and controls to support the rapid growth and operational complexities of the home services industry.
Capital Allocation & Fundraising:
- Manage relationships with banking institutions and other capital providers, including oversight of credit facilities and debt financing arrangements.
- Drive capital allocation strategies, ensuring optimal use of resources to support business expansion, M&A activity, and shareholder returns.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (operations, marketing, HR) to align financial goals with broader business strategies.
Risk Management & Internal Controls:
- Oversee risk management initiatives, including financial risk, market risk, and regulatory risk.
- Ensure that strong internal controls are in place to mitigate fraud, operational risks, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance roles with a focus on operationally driven finance.
- Prior experience in a senior leadership capacity working closely with executive teams and preparing financial reviews for board level audiences.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations and driving financial performance in a similar industry.
- Experience working collaboratively to create and deliver annual operating plans.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems including financial reporting and data analytics platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in finance or related field is preferred.
- Industry relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Prior experience with Sage (financial accounting), UKG (HCM), and ServiceTitan (CRM) is strongly preferred.
