Travel Nurse RN - PCU in Rapid City, SD

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
**Job Specialty:** Ortho Neuro Surgical (ONS)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12 Hour Nights
**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 1.5 years of experience in the specialty preferred; will consider candidates with less experience after manager approval. First-time travelers are accepted if they have more than 2 years of experience.
**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) licensed, approved by a board of nursing
**Certifications:**
- BLS
- ACLS
**Must-Have:**
- Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts and blood product administration
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong clinical judgment and professional bedside manner
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Adaptable with a positive attitude
**Job Description:**
- Care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, ARF, hepatitis, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, pulmonary emboli, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, seizure disorders, overdose, and delirium tremors.
- Maintain patient care ratios of 1:4 for PCU/Tele and 1:5 for Med/Surg.
- Float to other units as required, within the scope of practice and experience.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including working alongside LPNs in a team nursing model.
- Participate actively in orientation and education sessions.
- Follow scheduling requirements, including weekend rotations and holiday coverage as needed.
- Utilize the Epic charting system and other required equipment.
