Extrusion Engineer

Meet’s innovative and fast-growing client in the SF Bay Area has engaged us on an exciting new search for a talented Extrusion Engineer!

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, procure, and fabricate extruded components and subassemblies.
• Oversee installation of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures, including documentation, specifications, verification/validation, and procedures.
• Lead improvements in stability and capability of extruded components.
• Collaborate with suppliers on material sourcing for extrusion, shafts, and braiding.
• Achieve key metrics such as yield, efficiency, and support manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science and Engineering with 3+ years in extrusion technologies; advanced degree preferred.
• Preferred experience in medical devices, especially cardiovascular extruded products, in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, polymer/material science, and advanced statistical techniques for tubing.
• Expertise in process development for complex tubing (multi-lumen, multi-layer, reinforced, PTFE-lined, multi-durometer).
• Experienced with materials like polyurethane, polyolefin, PET, HDPE, PA, PEBAX, nylon, and balloon forming processes.
